WHAT'S NEW 2011:
"Following the 2009 fires that devastated much of Victoria Nomad Films has begun working with the Kinglake community to develop a documentary, ‘A New Normal’. Candid, insightful, heartfelt and at times humorous this project gives voice to the hard earned wisdoms of various survivors of the 2009 Kinglake fires. 'A New Normal' will be a offering of validation and support for other communities who find themselves survivors a large-scale disaster."

Several dis/assemble dance films are currently being developed and filmed by Helen Newman. They will premiere during dis/assemble's live performances at Hothouse Theatre in October 2010. View stills here.

Nomad Films has completed a promotional DVD for the Flying Fruit Fly Circus production, Pirates. Please see more information plus trailer here. March 2010: Helen is filming the world premiere of 'Propaganda', an acrobatic theatre work conceived and performed by avant-garde circus troupe, Acrobat. 'Propaganda' looks at the future, the one we're making each day by our actions. December 2009 Dec 3 : New Beginning is the first film by Jared Younger, working with mentor and film maker Helen Newman. Through this mentorship, Jared has created, directed and produced his own short film. Jared has an acquired brain injury and a passion for all things creative and artistic.
